I really hope that Covino & Marvin make 100 more movies together. If “The Climb” was them announcing to the world that they have arrived, “Splitsville” is them demonstrating that they will be making movies for a long time.
The nonstop gags are hysterical as expected, but it’s the moments with no gags that illustrate what makes the duo so special. They are so good at balancing tone & themes while keeping entertainment at the center. You are never given a second for your mind to wander. They keep you on your toes in the best way possible.
Loved watching them get a bigger sandbox to play in with this one & access to bigger stars. I hope it’s even bigger for the next one!
