Aaron's Thoughts
Rumor has it that if you look up crowdpleaser in the dictionary, this will be cited as an example.
Everything we say we want out of a blockbuster can be found here - it’s funny, emotional, gorgeous, smart, well crafted, but most importantly an all around fun time at the movies. A date night movie. A family movie. A solo movie. You name the occasion it fits the bill.
I genuinely can’t imagine how anyone can leave the theater saying they had a bad time. Is it perfect? By no means. It’s probably a bit too long and has one too many endings. Yet, it is so unabashedly sincere & all that is good about modern blockbusters that you can’t fault it too much for its wrongs.
Gosling is incredible per usual, Hüller almost steals the movie in one scene alone, and Rocky, well once you see it you’ll know exactly how to feel about him.
I was so excited watching it that I almost got sick because of how quickly I inhaled my popcorn. We don’t get movies like this often folks, enjoy it!
