Aaron's Thoughts
The unprecedented access to showing how SNL actually operates is enough to recommend it for anyone even remotely interested in the history/behind the scenes of the show. But even with the perfect murders row of subjects interviewed, I did leave wanting a bit more.
Maybe that’s just because Lorne himself is an enigma that no one has figured out? But I feel like at least part of it is poor directorial choices (like the over the top narration that completely took me out of it every time it happened). Not sure that Neville is capable of making a bad documentary, but can’t help but think that the past few have all left a lot to be desired.
