Watching the world premiere (at a film festival) of a movie about a film premiering at a film festival is about as meta as it gets.
I’m a sucker for films about filmmaking, but this one really surprised me! Gripping from the beginning as it ports you into this world with some exceptionally lived in characters. There is a scene that follows the two leads getting out of a car onto a red carpet where the filmmaking took my breath away.
The best stories are born out of real life & this one is no different as we learned in the Q&A. Lots of meat on the bone. Could have done without so much of the fake movie being shown, but other than that I loved this.
