Aaron's Thoughts
Before watching this - “Is this literally just going to be Anthony Hopkins & Matthew Goode sitting in a room and talking for 100 minutes?”
After watching this - “I actually wish this was just Anthony Hopkins & Matthew Goode sitting in a room and talking for 100 minutes”
The flashbacks and cutting of it all made the whole thing feel clunky. The whole thing feels like something you would watch on PBS or the BBC. It also baffles me how a movie based on a fictional interaction has genuinely zero interest in taking big swings in the conversations its characters have. It’s Freud and Lewis for crying out loud!
Hopkins was good when he needed to be, but was really impressed with Matthew Goode.
