Instantly one of my favorites of the year. While the plot reminded me a lot of Cha Cha Real Smooth (complimentary), the chemistry of the cast felt like a Linklater movie. I wish more movies focused on chemistry because when it’s this good it almost automatically allows the film to level jump.
Hope this one gets some love at the Indie Spirit Awards later this year. Would love to see Peet get recognized, Shear get nominated for best first feature, and maybe even a screenplay nomination. Peet would have my vote! One of my favorite performances of the year.
