I didn’t necessarily learn anything new from this but boy did I see things I’ve never seen before.
The film does a great job of staying in its lane & simply giving this newly found footage plenty of room to breathe. They don’t try to jam in unnecessary talking head commentary or force a conventional documentary structure onto you. Instead, they just focus on highlighting all of this early footage of Disneyland being built.
Sure, you hear early imagineers talking over plenty of the footage, but you never once see any of them talking. All you see is the old footage. And at times, minutes go by without a word being spoken.
A mesmerizing experience for someone that cares about Disney history as much as I do.
