Perfect blend of Who Framed Rodger Rabbit, Erin Brockovich, and A Few Good Men. It somehow manages to be a good time at the movies while also being a thoughtful mediation on how tech companies are ruining the world. All while serving as a perfect gateway to the courtroom drama genre for young audiences.
I do think everyone is probably overhyping this a tad bit to just stick it to Warner Brothers for idiotically wanting to write off the film for tax purposes. Which honestly is probably deserved. It’s just that as much as I loved it, once you get past the slick premise and you settle into the second act, it feels a bit repetitive until the home run payoff at the end.
I too am very glad this movie exists!
